A long time ago, I realized that less is always more in the making of a compelling portrait. Shot on a simple patio set, using a very basic set of toy lights and come-as-you-are styling, Patio Portraits are studies of people releasing themselves into their own private introspection—just they and I, creating pictures of human solitude that I hope reach out to touch something in the hearts of all who view them.
